Seminar - Own The Room! Commanding a Room from the Moment You Enter

WHEN: Thursday, March 11, 2010 from 07:00 PM - 09:00 PM

WHERE: MOCA DC Galleries 1054 31st St NW in Canal Square Washington, DC 20007-4403 Closest Metro - Foggy Bottom

PRICE: $30.00

Have you ever been in a meeting when the head honcho walks in the room and just has a bigger presence than you . . . and everyone else? Not necessarily someone who is physically bigger or louder than you but has that “quality” that commands attention and immediate respect?

Have you been at a party and thinking you were doing pretty well until another “competitor” enters and sucks all the energy in his or her direction? There is a palpable rush that people experience when the owner of the room arrives. How does he or she DO that anyway? Can I do that? Can I be that person?

Absolutely. Whether you’re in a sales presentation or attending a reception or just meeting someone new for a date you can own the room from the moment you enter. Why does this matter? Because people are drawn and attracted to those rare individuals who give off an air of confidence and power. Those who can project that authority and charm get more attention and more respect and actually stand apart from everyone else in the room.

Owning the room is a differentiator and a game‐changer for the person who knows HOW to command it. It’s not the meek and the withdrawn that lead the pack in sales and have the most friends and always seem to have the most attractive person at the party on his or her arm. Mastering the power of owning the room is helpful when meeting new customers and giving presentations in front of your superiors; it’s critical when networking at a reception and when going on singles adventures. And it CAN be learned. Not everyone was just born with gravitas and the authority to be a magnet. It takes knowledge (which can be learned) and it takes confidence (which can be developed).

Our leaders use their engaging manner to share their knowledge and build your confidence so that you approach every situation as the opportunity to “Own the Room!”
